APPLICATION NOTES (FOR ORGANISATIONS):

1.  Trustees are restricted to assisting persons resident in the City of Lichfield (unfortunately this does not include Elmhurst or parts of Streethay). If your organisations covers an area larger than the City of Lichfield, you will need to say how many of your members or people that you help are resident in the City of Lichfield and how many are outside the City – any grant which the Trustees may make would be proportionate.

2. The persons to be helped must be disadvantaged. Grants can be made to institutions or organisations who will provide or undertake to provide items services or facilities calculated to reduce disadvantage.

3.  The Trustees cannot commit themselves to repeat or renew a grant but they would be prepared to consider making a grant which would be payable by instalments subject to satisfactory reports being submitted at agreed intervals.

4.  Grants may be made for a range of purposes including eg funding a pilot project etc.

5.  There is no minimum or maximum amount for which application may be made.  All applications are considered on their merits and the fullest possible information should be given. Clearly those in greatest need must be given priority and this inevitably means not all applications can be successful.

6.  Invariably one of the Trustees or someone representing the Trustees will want to meet you or someone from your organisation to check the details and to discuss whether or how best the Trustees could help.  Applications can be made at any time but it may be some weeks before the Trustees can consider it as their meetings are approximately every two months.  However, if it is an emergency special arrangements can be made.
